Our story
That question is why BlindCrush exists. We built an app where every connection starts blind — because we believe the best relationships are built on words, not first impressions.
The idea came from a frustrating observation: dating apps had turned human connection into a catalogue. Swipe left, swipe right — snap judgements based on a single photo, before a single word was exchanged. Attractive people got flooded with matches. Everyone else got ignored. Nobody was particularly happy.
We wondered what would happen if you removed the photos entirely. What if the first thing you knew about someone was how they think, what makes them laugh, what they care about? Research on blind dating consistently shows that people end up attracted to partners they never would have swiped on. Personality is magnetic — but only if you give it the chance to speak first.
So we built BlindCrush. The app where you meet as strangers, chat as equals, and reveal only when you're ready. Since launching, we've seen thousands of conversations turn into real relationships — and every single one started with words, not a photo.
